In plain language

AI Act now

CVE-2017-11882 is a Microsoft Office “memory corruption” flaw that can let attackers run code when you open a specially made Office document; if your business still uses Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, Office 2010 SP2, Office 2013 SP1, or Office 2016, you should act now (RED).

What to do

  1. Update Microsoft Office to the latest available updates for your installed version (or upgrade to a newer Office release if you can). 2) If you can’t fully patch right away, stop using/receiving documents from untrusted sources and have your IT team enable the strongest Office security settings they recommend for document/macros and file handling. 3) Check which PCs still have Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, 2013 SP1, or Office 2016 and prioritize those first for patching.
